Tools for Preventing Domestic Violence

We are very happy to be partnering with Mission Australia, Olive Road, the Tasmanian Baptists, and Fostering Hope to support Matt Boulton to deliver the Tools for Preventing Domestic Violence training in Hobart.

“To prevent domestic violence in our communities, we need more than talk-fests, academic theories and the same old “ambulance at the bottom of the cliff” approaches. We need a preventative army at the top of the problem with proven practical tools and strategies for engaging potential abusers and disarming DV before it even begins.”

Matt Boulton

If you’re working with people in the community space, the church or social service sectors, this training is for you. Tools for Preventing Domestic Violence will equip you with a good working understanding of the nature and dynamics of domestic violence, and will teach you the tried and tested strategies for deep engagement with people wishing to put down their abusive behaviours. As an added benefit of this training, you can also be equipped to deliver the Circuit Breaker program in your community as a trained facilitator (satisfies all training elements).

The training will be held at the Grace Centre, 11 Ralph Terrace, Rokeby from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, 24th of August 2024.

Registrations are essential for this training, and will be payable at the event ($95 per person or $20 for volunteers). A certificate of attendance showing PD hours will be provided for those registering before August 22, so please register now to avoid disappointment:
