Assistant Minister, Edge Anglican Network

SEARCHING FOR: a creative and community-minded gospel minister for Hobart’s Northern edge

At the northern edge of Tasmania’s largest city lies the quaint and growing town of New Norfolk. The Anglican Church there is part of the Edge Anglican Network, which is a two-site church network – the other congregation is in Claremont. Both congregations love Jesus, are united in their desire to see people come to know Jesus as Lord and are excited by what God is doing among us. There is a wide range of age groups worshipping together each Sunday. They place a high value on deep relationships with each other and are a supportive and loving Jesus focused community.

The successful applicant will be happy living close to a major urban centre, and will have the ability to care for the current congregation at New Norfolk while also planning and launching a new congregation. There are a lot of people moving into the area, and there is plenty of room for growth. They will be happy working closely with the Senior Minister to develop and cement discipleship pathways across the Network.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to begin in February 2025. Is God stirring your heart to come and join us?

You will be someone who loves and knows Jesus and is passionate about seeing the gospel make an impact in people’s lives. You will be deeply prayerful with a high priority for personal godliness and someone who exercises humility and grace in relationship with other people.
