Volunteers
Volunteers play an essential role in our churches and ministries, as well as in op shops, hospitals and schools.
Please discuss your volunteer role and endorsement requirements with your Parish Safe Church Communities Co-ordinator before completing any forms.
We require all volunteers to be endorsed according to the following steps:
The level of endorsement required for different roles is outlined in the Safe Church Communities Ordinance.
Designated Drivers
If you are a designated driver for any church program, you will be required to apply for a National Police Check and complete a Drivers Declaration. There may be further requirements depending on your role as a Driver within the program. Check with your Parish Safe Church Communities Coordinator.

Remember to contact one of the approved Diocesan officers with authority to sign the Declaration of Volunteer Status for the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania. Each region has now been allocated a Unique Identifier (UID) by the Criminal History Division of Tasmania Police. These UIDs have been provided to the approved officers. Here are the current approved Diocesan Officers:
