Visiting Speakers

The Anglican Diocese of Tasmania has established standards of conduct for all church workers to maintain a safe and healthy ministry environment. This includes those not currently endorsed for ministry in this Diocese, who visit as guest speakers to programs or services conducted within or on behalf of the Diocese of Tasmania.

Note: The online application form can only be completed in one sitting. You cannot save a partially completed form.

Your Endorsement for visiting the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania is valid for three years from the date of issue.

Endorsement is undertaken according to the following steps:

1. Prepare your Application Documents

You will need clear copies of the following:

One copy of your Photo Identification (e.g. your Drivers Licence or Passport)
Your relevant State Working with Children Card

To get your Safe Ministry Clearance, you will need clear copies of two of the following options

Safe Ministry Certificate
Professional Standards Clearance from your current ministry authority
Current Australian or International Police Check (required for persons who live overseas. Please note that current means issued within the last 3 months)
Letter of Good Standing

2. Complete the Visiting Speaker Endorsement Request Form

Complete the Visiting Speaker Endorsement Request Form which can be found online at the following link.

If you cannot access the form online, please contact the Event Organiser or the Professional Standards Unit (psu@anglicantas.org.au or (03) 6220 2020).

Please note: before you fill in this form, you will need to know the name of the church/organisation you intend to visit, your role, the estimated dates and audience demographic.

Please note that your application is conditional on the outcome of an Anglican National Register Check. This request for information is being made to comply with the policies of the Anglican Church of Australia, and not because we have any reason to believe that any applicant has in fact engaged in inappropriate conduct.
