Operations Manager, Holy Trinity Launceston

WANTED: A passionate administrator to support and enable ministry in Tasmania’s northern city

The Parish of Holy Trinity is embarking on a new and exciting phase of ministry. A key part of this is the appointment of a part-time (20 hours per week) Operations Manager who can work collaboratively with our new Rector to help realise our goal to be a church that is growing in Christ and making Him known.

The successful applicant will be comfortable being the first point of contact for anyone seeking to connect with the Rector or Ministries of Holy Trinity Launceston, and they will be confident liaising with community groups and members of the public. They will be agile and responsive to needs as they arise, and able to see how their administrative skills can be used to further the ministry of this significant Anglican Church in Launceston. Experience working in a Christian environment is desirable, but not essential.

The Parish consists of four centres. The Parish Office is located at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in the Launceston CBD. Our three other centres are St Matthias’ Windermere, St Andrew’s Evandale and St James’ Franklin Village (Youngtown).

The preferred commencement date is early November 2024. Applications close at 5pm on Friday 18th October, 2024.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated ability to whole-heartedly support the vision and culture of the parish/rector and initiate processes, provide problem-solving, creative ideas, and produce materials to ‘make things happen’.
  2. Amazing administrative and time management skills which enable you to successfully attend to the business/operational tasks of a busy and growing parish.
  3. Strong inter-personal skills which enable you to warmly and graciously interact with people from all walks of life to provide guidance, practical support and encourage their engagement in the life of the church.
  4. Great eye for detail and commitment to accurate and timely record keeping, financial processing and safety compliance.
