Introducing Pam Lake – Safe Church Communities Coordinator

Pam Lake

We welcome Pam Lake into the role of Safe Church Communities (SCC) Coordinator for the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania.

We are therefore ambassadors for Christ as if God is telling his message through us.

“This has been my personal vision statement since as a teenager I committed my life to mission…that of being an ambassador of Jesus,” said Pam. “This has led me to doing cross cultural mission in India as a nurse (where I met my husband Andrew) to Parish ministry in NSW and in Jakarta Indonesia, where our 4 children spent their formative years.”

On returning to Australia Pam became the Tasmanian State Director for the Church Missionary Society (CMS) before heading off to Syria for 2 years. On returning, she was National Relationship Manager for the Leprosy Mission engaging in management, fundraising and personal relationships. Most recently, Pam has just completed a year of major donor fundraising.

“The role of SCC Coordinator uses my passion for bringing God’s love to others, especially the vulnerable, through safe relationships that value others, appreciating their differences and worth in God’s sight,” Pam said.

“I look forward to rekindling friendships across Tasmania as we work together with each other and the vulnerable to ensure that mission and ministry enables all people to experience the church as a nurturing and safe community.”

Starting Tuesday 1st October, Pam’s work days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

You can contact Pam at Email: SCC@anglicantas.org.au or Phone: (03) 6220 2036.
