Families & Community Connections Assistant Minister, Holy Trinity Launceston

WANTED: a creative gospel minister for the kids and families of Launceston

Holy Trinity Launceston is one of two large Anglican churches in Tasmania’s beautiful northern city, and they are looking for someone to help forge and grow their ministry to kids, young people and families across the city.

The successful applicant will be happy living and ministering in a small city (population 70,000), with a fantastic foodie scene (named as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy in 2021), with minimal traffic (everywhere in town is 10 minutes drive), and a stones throw from dozens of wineries.

The parish has established traditional Sunday morning gatherings, but is keen to explore and build connections with young families in the area, as well as a number of local schools (including one Anglican school). One in five residents of Launceston are under 19, and the parish wants to invest in reaching these younger generations with the gospel – they are open to exploring creative ideas to reach and disciple young people and their families.

The families of Launnie (as the locals call it) need someone to show them how following Jesus makes a difference. They need someone to disciple their kids, to have strong and courageous faith in the face of opposition.
