Confirmation
Jesus said, “make disciples … teaching them everything I have commanded you”.
Matthew 28:19-20
Confirmation “Faith for Living”
In Confirmation people take as their own the Christian faith into which they were baptised, usually as infants. It marks their own settled conviction of their faith in Jesus Christ and determination to live and grow as his disciples.
In a ceremony of the laying on hands by a Bishop a person confirms their own faith while also being publically confirmed as part of the wider Church.
We welcome enquiries about confirmation as an opportunity to explore more fully the Christian faith, ask questions and understand what it is to be part of the community of the followers of Jesus.
Please contact your local Anglican Church for more information.
Faith for Life
Jesus said, “I am with you always to the end of the age”.
Matthew 28:20
Life has beginnings, endings and significant milestones along the way. At such times of celebration, commitment and commemoration people often turn to God for thanks, guidance and comfort.
Baptisms, Confirmations, Weddings and Funerals are such times and these pages give a brief overview of these services. It is our prayer that they will help individuals, families and friends find greater connection with each other, with their local church and most importantly with God who is with us throughout our life.
