About the Network

The ASN is a dynamic Anglican Network consisting of four small-to-medium sized evangelical churches with six congregations in the Tamar/Launceston region of Tasmania. Established in November 2018, it began with the partnership of two historic parishes, and has since expanded to include two additional churches. While each church has its own unique expression, they all share a common vision centred around Jesus. Committed to nurturing and equipping disciples of Jesus, the churches of the network engage in diverse ministries. Passionate about mission and evangelism, the ASN supports cross-cultural missions financially and seeks to establish new churches in gospel-poor areas.

About All Saints City

All Saints City, formerly known as St. John’s Parish, has a rich history of over 200 years and has played a significant role in proclaiming the gospel, establishing churches, and engaging in mercy ministries within the regional city of Launceston. The church building itself, which has served as a place of worship for almost 200 years, holds a strategic location in the heart of Launceston, surrounded by various local service providers, nonprofit organisations, and small businesses. All Saints City is a mid-sized church with three congregations, offering a range of worship styles from traditional prayerbook services at 8:00 am to a relaxed and informal gathering at 5:00 pm, including a monthly youth service. With an average weekly attendance of around 170 people and over 220 regular attendees, the church represents the breadth and diversity found within Anglican worship. St John’s Church building is currently undergoing a significant internal renewal due for completion in March 2024.

About the Diocese

Bishop Richard Condie, the current Bishop, wants making disciples of Jesus to be at the core of everything we do. He also highly values training and support for church leaders – this includes each ministry leader in the Diocese having a Professional Supervisor, being in a cohort with others at the same life/ministry stage, and money and time given from the parish for professional development each year.

The current group of clergy/ministry leaders (about 80 in total) meet together twice a year and are highly supportive of each other in gospel partnership.
