Exciting new position with the Anglican Parish of Clarence South (3 days per week)
The Parish of Clarence South is looking for a youth and young adults minister who is passionate about knowing Jesus and making Him known.
The parish extends through the southern reaches of the Clarence council area. While its offices and central hub are at Howrah, the Parish Vision is to reach people throughout all areas of the parish.
In March 2021 the parish launched a new vision:
“To be a Church for Clarence South making disciples of Jesus” which is underpinned by our Mission statement: “Loving God, His Church and our neighbour – By knowing Jesus and making Him known – Through word, prayer and deed”
This means we are focused on serving the community and we believe that as we grow in our understanding and love of Jesus, He will send us out to make disciples, who in turn make more disciples.
Youth ministry is outlined in our vision document which states: “We want to build a vibrant community of youth and young adults who are continually transformed by the power of the Gospel as they grow to be leaders in the kingdom for the future.”
To this end we are searching for an energetic disciple maker to lead this area of the overall vision. We are looking for someone who is passionate about discipling young people and developing their gifts to be leaders for the future.
The position is a minimum of 3 days per week with an initial appointment of 2 years.
