About the Role
Anglican Health & Welfare (AHW) is seeking a Chaplain / Pastoral Care Worker to provide Pastoral Care (Emotional and Spiritual Support) for the Mental Health patients, visitors and staff of the Mental Health In-patient units at the RHH and occasional visits to other Statewide Mental Health Facilities (Wilfred Lopes Centre) as requested.
This 16hr/fortnight Chaplain position is responsible for providing Spiritual Care with a focus on the Mental Health units, however, an ability to be flexible, respond to requests and referrals, and provide care across the RHH will be required.
This position will be an integral role of the RHH Chaplaincy Services, contracted to and coordinated by AHW for the RHH.
Selection Criteria:
- Pastoral Care skills and experience and endorsement from your church, denomination or faith community are essential.
- Completion of, or a willingness to complete, two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is preferred.
- Theological qualifications are preferred.
- Experience in the healthcare context is desirable.
