Rural Mission Training Day – Saturday 3rd August

How do we reconnect with our community? In an increasingly anxious society what does Christianity have to offer? How do we make the connections we already have opportunities to speak of Christ? Often in rural centres we find that everyone knows everyone. Sometimes we have known the people around us for nearly all of our…

Bible Forum (Hobart), Saturday 27 July 2019

Topic: The Christian Imagination How important is using your imagination for the way you live your Christian life? Some might say that the human imagination is the opposite of God’s truth: “Let the Scriptures cease to be heard and soon the remembered Christ becomes an imagined Christ” (James Smart). Others, that imagination is central to…

Simple pleasure for senior adults

On Palm Sunday we said thank you and goodbye to our honorary senior’s minister of five years, Bruce Geeves, who has decided to attend a church within walking distance of home rather than contend with Sunday bus timetables.  (Our loss, their gain, we think.) Bruce loves a party and he loves 1970s music so our…

Welcome

We are a church for Tasmania, making disciples of Jesus.

Motivated by God’s love, we are sent to make disciples, and to serve people with love and compassion.

Jesus said: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

We are a network of 48 parishes, agencies and schools, who are for Tasmania. We love our State, and so we want every Tasmanian to encounter Jesus and His love. Our Vision explains more of this.

The Diocese of Tasmania is a Child SafeTM organisation.

We are committed to: a transparent culture of safety for all people, especially children and vulnerable people; and safe church practices in our leadership, governance and culture.

We invite you to explore our church life on this website. Use the Find a Church facility to contact a local church. We’d love for you to come and join us.
